Siddharta Gautama Buddha was discovered in the garden of Lumbini. According to ancient tradition, Buddha’s mother, Queen Maha Maya, dreamt a white elephant entered her womb. As she strolled through the garden ten months later, the child emerged from under her right arm. He began walking immediately, with lotus flowers blossoming beneath each footstep.
